Where are you based?
Davinder Rai Photography is based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire. I am able to cover events nationwide as well as destination weddings.
How long do you stay on a booking?
Each client’s individual needs are taken into consideration. All timings will be agreed prior to your event.
How much do you charge?
All prices are generated on an individual basis, so the exact investment will depend on what you personally require. Nonetheless, all quotes are completely no-obligation.
How would you describe your style of photography?
I use a photojournalistic style, capturing moments of your day as they naturally unfold. I aim to keep an unobtrusive tone, letting the ceremony progress naturally. Thus, you’ll have a set of images which tell the story of your day.
Do you pose photographs?
The only time photographs will be posed, or direction given, is during group/family photos and couple's shoots. I will not interfere in the running of your event/ceremony.
I’m hosting pre-wedding events, can you cover these too?
I’ll happily create a seamless package that sees you from the start to the end of your celebrations.
How many images will I get?
Although the focus is on quality rather than quantity, there isn't a set limit to images delivered.
What format will the photographs be in?
Your photographs will be shot in RAW format. After post-production, the photographs will be in JPEG format.
When do I get to see my images?
I aim to have photographs edited for you within 4-12 weeks, dependent on season. Nonetheless, I will be contactable during this time to give you updates on progress.
How do I receive my photographs?
Images are delivered on a Crystal USB drive as standard.
Do you outsource editing of images?
All editing and album design is completed in-house.
Do you recommend a pre-wedding shoot?
Yes definitely. A pre-wedding shoot is a great way for a couple to become more comfortable in front of the camera before their wedding. This can help make your wedding day a little less daunting.
Do you just cover weddings?
I am able to cover celebrations, functions, events and religious ceremonies. Have a look through the Portfolio to see the range of shoots I have been commissioned for.
What’s the process for album design?
Once your photographs have been edited, a USB will be sent out to you containing your photograph archive. In the meantime, I’ll start forming a design for your album ensuring that there is a flow of story through the pages. If there are photographs you would like me to include, do let me know. Once I’ve completed a design for all the pages, I’ll email you proofs of what each page looks like. Amendments can be made thereafter.
Why do you need a deposit?
In order to secure your chosen date(s) I will require a Booking Deposit. This is usually 50% of the invoice total. Once this has been paid, a Booking Confirmation will be generated, providing assurance for both parties.
How do I book?
Get in touch and provide me with the details of your event. Subject to availability of dates, I'll reply with a written quotation and instructions on how to proceed, if you wish to. Rest assured, all quotes are completely no-obligation.
